MARIE-LOUISE JONES
Founder and Director of Little Paper Slipper, leading all workshops within the refuges. Marie-Louise is a professional Artist & Art Facilitator with over 6 years experience of delivering socially engaged workshops with: women’s groups and elderly groups at Toynbee Hall, youth empowerment workshops with The Diana Awards, projects with the Women’s Environmental Network, and community engagement workshops for various councils and arts centres. She has exhibited internationally, most recently for the 57th Venice Biennale, Italy and previously for International Women’s Day, Barcelona. In 2012 she was commissioned by national charity Women’s Aid to produce installation artwork for their Valentines Day fundraising campaign. JENNIFER MCGEE
Social Media & Marketing for Little Paper Slipper. Jen studied Broadcast Journalism in Brighton where she got involved with feminism at her university's FemSoc. Upon graduating she was offered a job in her university press office where she gained invaluable marketing and PR experience working with academics to get their research into mainstream media. Keen to have her fingers in more than one pie, she also freelanced as a TV Production Runner and radio reporter whilst blogging and now works on entertainment and factual shows. She has written about equal rights and feminism on her personal blog and the Education for Choice charity Tumblr blog and plans to one day put all of the above to good use in her dream job as a Producer for BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour! Writer & Contributer for Little Paper Slipper. Lizzie works as a U.S. news researcher, with her role centred on following state level news and the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign. Writing experience includes a regular column in her university newspaper, becoming editor of her departmental magazine, and writing for the Cambridge Film Festival. She spent six months in South America which included volunteering in an English-speaking magazine in Bolivia which was designed as an educational aid to help Bolivian students learn and practice English. Through writing, and aided strongly by social media, she has discovered a keen interest in political and feminist journalism. CHIARA MARTINELLI
Events & Communications for Little Paper Slipper. Chiara also works as an Events Manager for a national charity where she is responsible for producing conferences and large-scale events such as public awards ceremonies. Prior to this, she worked as a Social Media and Marketing Manager for a technology start up. Chiara has a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology & Mental Health, where she specialised in women and gender studies, her passion, giving her an understanding into research on gender and society. Chiara worked as a charity representative for an international development charity whilst at university and has spent time volunteering for community development organisations both in the UK and abroad. Treasurer of Little Paper Slipper Adrian has over 7 years experience as a leading analyst and adviser to charities and organisations with a social purpose. He is author of The Good Analyst (IFG, 2012), a book about the value of understanding social impact, and has consulted for major UK third sector bodies, including Big Society Capital, Charity Bank, Scope and Big Issue. He also has strong links with the arts — editing books and magazines, sitting on the board of international arts non-profit Kilometer Zero. Adrian is responsible for guidance regarding governance, planning, financial management, and how we evaluate and express the change we make to people’s lives. JOE DUHIG
Secretary of Little Paper Slipper, Joe has been involved with the charity since shortly after its conception in 2013, He produces all Little Paper Slipper exhibition and promotional material, assists with organising and marketing Little Paper Slipper fundraiser events. He is part of the 'Great Men Value Women' project, leading respect workshops with young boys in schools and is a tutor at charity 'Rewrite', delivering creative writing workshops for young migrant and refugees, Joe is also Director of Farmfestival - a music and arts festival that raises money for good causes. Trustee for the Little Paper Slipper. Abi is an Artist and trained Scientific Illustrator who has run educational workshops for the Natural History Museum and produced illustration work for a variety of scientific publications. She has several years experience within charities, having worked for an environmental NGO based in Greece, as an illustrator and teacher and in fundraising and public engagement campaigns. Abi has also been involved with Little Paper Slipper since shortly after its conception in 2013, participating in test workshops as the project was being developed. She is also a champion of women's rights and helps promote the Little Paper Slipper project. |
